Cooking lentils in a pot on the stove is fairly easy as it requires only a few steps. Lentils are one of the ingredients used in the Zero-Waste Vegan Meal Plan.

Scale

Ingredients

1 cup (200 g) dry brown lentils
1 and 3/4 cups of water
1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Measure the lentils and pick out any debris or little stones.
  2. Place them in a pot and add the water.
  3. Add the bay leaf and stir.
  4. Bring to a boil and lower the heat to a low simmer.
