Quick and Easy Ginger Water

Ginger water is easy to make just by adding hot water into a glass with a few slices of ginger in it. Honey can also be added as a sweetener, if needed, and a few more ingredients can be used for enjoying different flavors.



1 inch (2,5 cm) of fresh ginger 

1 hot water*

1 teaspoon of raw honey (optional)


  1. Peel the ginger with a spoon as shown in the video.
  2. Cut it into thin slices and place them in a mug or a glass**. 
  3. Add boiling water to the mug. 
  4. Add the honey if desired. 
  5. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes and enjoy it hot.


*The quantity depends on the size of your mug.

**If you use a glass, make sure it’s safe to use it with boiling water.


Add a pinch of cayenne for a spicy taste

Add lemon juice for a citrus flavor. 

Add turmeric – don’t forget the black pepper to increase the turmeric’s bioavailability – for a stronger taste.

Infuse it together with thyme and mint to combat a sore throat.
