Bananas are a convenient, natural and portable snack that can be found year-round; however, this easiest and healthiest banana snack is a great upgrade compared to just a plain banana. It’s naturally gluten-free and vegan, if you use the vegan version of the Healthy Nutella. Don’t wait any longer to add this recipe to your Healthy Meal Plan

Ingredients

1 banana*

2 or 3 tablespoons of Healthy Nutella**

¼ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice***

1 teaspoon of sesame seeds****

Instructions

  1. Peel the banana.
  2. Slice the banana horizontally in half.
  3. Spread the Nutella.
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds and pumpkin pie spice.

*Use the banana you prefer, overripe or not.

**If you don’t have Healthy Nutella ready at home, you can use any nut butter instead (if you choose peanut butter, make sure to use organic).

***If you don’t have pumpkin pie spices, you can use cinnamon instead.

****If you don’t have sesame seeds, you can use sunflower seeds instead, or any crushed nuts like walnuts, almonds or pistachios.
